Prof. Przemysław E. Gębal - professor at Silesian University of Technology

Prof. Przemysław E. Gębal, PhD. - professor at Silesian University of Technology, deputy director of the Institute of Education and Communication Research of Silesian University of Technology and a researcher at the Institute of Applied Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw. Germanist by profession, he also studied Italian and French philology. For many years an employee of the Department of Polish as a Foreign Language of Jagiellonian University and the Institute of Applied Linguistics, University of Warsaw, in which he managed the Department of Glottodidactics and the Laboratory of Comparative Glottodidactics and Pedeutology. Author and co-author of 5 monographs and numerous articles in the field of language didactics. Author and co-author of textbooks and teaching materials for learning foreign languages school and academic language teaching programs. In his scientific activity to date, he deals with aspects of foreign language teacher education, language teaching for professional needs, didactics of Polish as a foreign and second language, didactics of multilingualism and comparative glottodidactics.
